Hi to everyone. Ok, so I am new to downloading anything to the internet and have been working on getting a photo in my portfolio.. Whew, I think I finally got 2 in there!!! Not the best photos but wanted to just get something in there as a test... Now I am attempting to write and say HI and testing out my fledgling knowledge. Just wanted to see if I could place a photo in a tread like everyone else.. WOW it is a challenge to be sure..Have been through the Q & A and the tutorials. Printed them out to go step by step.I still dont get how to do this insert photo. Guess I will keep on trying.
And I thought re-sizing was lots of work. Oh my gosh! :) OK stop laughing I am a bit slow I know it!! :) |

Hi, and welcome to the funny farmsite! :)
To post an image that is in your portfolio here on DPC, just hit the last icon above the text box you enter the message in (the one that says, 'Insert Thumbnail Link to Site Image' when you place the mouse pointer over it. In the dialog box that comes up, just enter the 4-digit (oops, 5-digits for new images now) number that is in the address field of your web browser when viewing the image. That is all there is to it. To place clickable thumbnails of images elsewhere on the internet is a bit more involved, but that is something for another time I suppose.
