I can't help but wonder why 103 people chose not to vote on my photo after looking at it. hmm. |

Sometimes I view a picture several times during a challenge but only 1 of my votes counts, of course.
This might be the reason.
Edit: yeah, what soup said.

I haven't voted for weeks, but I always go in and view the pictures. So, at least one of those views without a vote is probably mine.

I think most of the photos end up with about the same number of votes, so I look at a high margin of views over votes as a positive thing -- mostly that people are looking more than once. |

I failed to think of it that way. I learn something new every day. Thanks for responding. |

I view images several times during voting.
I vote once quick and dirty to separate the images into maybe 3 or 4 score groups.
From that I refine voting and separate them to individual scores.
Then I go through a couple more times and just check that there are no obvious ones that I have ranked too low or too high when compared with the others of that score.
So several views from me alone.

I wish I had that luxury! My internet here is so slow that I can really only wait for the photos to download once!
I hope that doesn't affect my voting though a I often only get to vote on maybe 20% of photos per day and sometimes have to try and remember what I have voted others at to try and keep my voting patterns fair! |

I sympathise Di, if you're dialling from deep darkest Kwekwe I can imagine what the wait for each pic must be like. I usually wait till I'm at work to post votes. Dialup voting does test patience even in Europe.

Here goes - short & sweet. As a new member (this was my first challenge - 4.9 as of Sunday) I can say I do my best to vote, but dont have the time to comment on each picture. This is a hobby. I've got a job, kids and grandkids.... sorry. |

Kavey: If I might ask, how much time does your voting process take you? I do something very similar, but am wondering, after voting only for three or four challenges so far, if I can afford all the time it takes away from other photographic activities. (By the way, this is my first forum post, so I'm also testing out "Show Signature" to see what the heck happens.)
