I just bought a Canon EOS and am using a media reader. I took a lot of pictures on the camera and when I go to download them off of the reader only a few of the pictures download. The others say either "the jpg parameters are not correct..." or "segment marker is too short..." I can view these pictures on the camera, but can't seem to get them to download at all. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! I appreciate it.

have you tried downloading directly from the camera to your pc? that might save your images.

are you using a new card, or is it a card used previously in a different camera? is it a new media reader?

i had had some problems with cards when i used them without formating them in the camera first. now, whenever i load a card, i immediately reformat it in the camera, just to make sure there is no left over garbage...
