We don't seem to have heard from any of the DPC folks who live in CT. Looks like some areas got hammered pretty badly. How are you faring?

ETA: I see Paul ( blindjustice) posted a while back. Hope you are keeping safe and warm.

Good to hear you have power, that was luckily not an issue for us. Wind and outrageous amounts of snow, big drifts. It is not wet snow here in inland Ct, near the coast lots of power outages, a warehouse roof collapse in Clinton, Ct. Must be wetter there.

We got about 26" (hard to measure with all the drifts), and kept our power. Nearby Milford got 38".

Scalvert was on line either here or on Facebook and seems they got quite the dusting were he lives.

Here is hoping all are safe and sound. I just now finished cleaning the driveway and walkways... but as Beetle said... it sure is romantic... yeah that's it... romantic.

Trust Shannon to post while I am typing. :O)

Got my wish, just a dusting here!

Greetings from Boston...

This is the lee side of the building. On the other side, where the parking lot ends in a fenced-in corner, there are drifts over eight feet, and cars that are entirely buried. No idea what things look further out, as we can only now get out after our man here opened the way, as the doors open outward.

We got barely a foot, wind is picking up and already sunshine is starting to melt it down. Funny to see the dogs swimming in the backyard. Just wish they didn't come back inside clotted up like canine snow cones.

Pictures, people, pictures!! I see no dogs swimming in the backyard... If there's power, there should be pictures! Thanks Scott for showing the way!

(I'm glad everyone's staying safe!)

Plowing out.... Not the most artistic images. Lucky to get out the front door to get anything. 30+ inches and 5' drifts....Fun. Hope everyone is safe and warm.

Well, we went to bed with power out, and woke with power IN, so that's good. We.re pretty well drifted in, doors and windows caked, WET snow, but really not all that much of it, less than a foot for sure, just blown up against the house and cars by this crazy wind, which is still howling. A section of our fence is gone, I can see that much...

Our close friends in Newburyport woke up this morning with 4 feet of snow stacked against their back door. They have power, though.

Snapshot taken at the front door mid-day today (Saturday). It was still snowing with wind gusts well over 40mph but that's over now and tomorrow we'll start shoveling.

Yes, but you have to get your priorities straight. :)

We got at least 24 inches, but it's hard to tell with the drifting.

Lost power from 10pm Friday-6pm Sat, and phone/cable/internet until 8pm.

My street is clear, one car width wide, I've got about 10 feet out into the street of untouched snow that hasn't been plowed yet.

Sorry, Quincy. Just south of Boston. :)

I was browsing through this gallery of Nemo storm shots on the USA Today web site, and saw that JaredWickerham had a couple shots in there. Granted, he hasn't been active here for quite some time (not that he was ever all that "active" here), but I've gotten to know him pretty well over the years.

When I met him he was an art institute student trying very hard to get into sports photography. Now he's shooting for Getty... just got back to Boston after shooting the Super Bowl last week. It's nice to see that he's living his dream!
