I thought it could be useful for someone to see the light set up I used in one of my last images, Dancer.
This is the light set-up:
60x60 cms. Softbox for the main lighting. One speedlight with snoot for her face and one speedlight with a diffuser from behind. |

And a very successful lighting setup it was... the result is beautiful, dramatic light. Kudos.

| Very helpful, thanks Alex. Quick question, what are you using the snooted flash to light? I'm guessing the shoe, since the rest of the dancer is lit with the softbox? |

I lit her face with the snoot, because it was rather dark without it.
This is an outtake without snoot.

| Alex can you or did you already grid the softbox to control the spill a bit? |

Nope. But I just bought the stuff to create it. I know it's a big improvement in the control of light. |

Does the manufacturer of your softbox not make a grid for it? My AB grids were so inexpensive I couldn't imagine trying to spend the time to make some. |
