Several photos I uploaded to my portfolio look okay in the thumbnail view AND when viewed on my PC, but if I view them using a mobile tablet or through a Facebook link, they are turned sideways.
I uploaded them again thinking an over-write would help, but the same few photos are still wonky. Any suggestions?
Here's a link to one of them. It's odd to ask for help on a photo that probably appears correctly to most viewers!

| Looked on my EVO 4G and it looks fine, went to my iPad and it's sideways, that's really strange. I haven't seen that before. |

It's been that way for at least a year. If I vote on my iPad and something seems oriented strangely I double-check on my laptop before commenting. Or my Android phone, if I have the patience to select from the teensy text on the menus. Neither the laptop nor the phone has orientation issues.
The only fix I've found is to copy the image and paste into a new, blank image with no EXIF data and upload that to DPC. Then there's no orientation data to be misinterpreted by whichever bit of code is getting confused. Should probably do that with my profile pic one of these days instead of always seeing myself sideways on my iPad LOL. |

I don't think it's that simple. D700 + iPad, maybe, but I'd have to do some experimenting to nail it down more precisely. I've used 3 different browsers on the laptop and 3 others on the iPad and consistently get the same results. It may be happening with other sites where I've got photos, too, but DPC is where I noticed the problem. Once I found a workaround I quit wondering about why it was happening. |
