I have been working on a small home studio as i had some spare rooms i knocked a wall down and fixed it up its not quite finished yet but i setup my lights and had a trail run here are some images i have a softbox and a umbrella i didnt have a light meter so i just a rough idea and tweaked it a bit as i went along









I think they turned out ok i feel the last image was pretty neat that was with only the umbrella

A nice set up! If by the "last" image you mean the 3/4 one in the blue t-shirt, yes, it has the most interesting lighting, although overall it is too dark. I think you could get a really nice result by boosting your levels a bit and converting to b/w. Have fun, and keep sharing your experiments!
