I was wondering that as well, but haven't researched how that particular camera works. Cool stuff!

I was assuming someone just used it as a convenient spot to store a few negatives.

Me too ... I think these are sheets of film, not a roll ...

Glad someone found and posted this -- I'd heard about it but never got the chance to look up the link to the story.

It was an early Polaroid prototype. Clearly the ejection mechanism needed some work.

That's what I thought at first view as well, but thought it was a little odd. Then again, the world was a lot different 100 years ago.

Last night was the first I've heard about it, and read the story on NBCNEWs.com (Old MSNBC). I was surprised that no one beat me to it in posting. LOL.
