I might be in a minority here.. but even if I average a 2 or a 3 on my first challenge, (Hope), I'll simply be ecstatic for simply having the wherewithal to actually submit something and have it voted on.

I'm giddy.

And now back to your regularily scheduled program.

(yes, I was the one picked on in high school)

I know how you feel Artyste! This is my first challenge submission too... my gut is in a knot, palms are all sweaty... trying really hard not to second-guess my entry.

I doubt the second guessing will go away, but I sure hope the sweaty palms and knot in my gut do! :)

hehe. I already second-guessed my first submission.. but I talked it over with some friends, and they agreed that my second and final submission was by far the better shot for the challenge.

I have to say though.. "Hope" is not a term that comes naturally to me.. so this was *hard*

I'm excited about my "Hope" submission too. Generally, that excitement lasts until about the first 1/2 hour of voting, than I'm saying "what was I thinking?"

My Neon turned into a stinker. I'm putting my hope in "hope."

I get an amazing surge of adrenaline about an hour before a contest starts and up until I get 20-30 votes. If it's doing well, that good feeling tends to last a few more days as I wait for comments. If the score's bad I give up and start anticipating the next challenge already. It's funny how addictive that butterflies-in-the-tummy feeling can be!
