This kid and eagle were both CGI animations.

An eagle can lift about 4 pounds. That baby is wearing more than 4 pounds of clothing.

Not sure what they can lift, they can however fly with a goat - and they sure can take down a hell of a lot more!

I've heard rumors that they are still doing well in the remote misty mountains of North Korea. They apparently subsist largely upon pandas and unicorns.
