wonder if anyone else has had this issue...
for the current Minimal Challenge, Textures VII, i captured my image in portrait orientation
on my home PC, i can view it in portrait (in Nikon ViewNX and Windows' default photo viewer), i can edit it in portrait (using InfranView), and it remains in portrait in both the thumbnail image on the DPC submission page and when i open the full size DPC submission preview. it is in correct orientation on my work PC on the DPC website, too.
however, on my iPad, the thumbnail is in portrait orientation but the the full size preview rotates to landscape orientation. it does this both in Safari and a second browser program.
i have not had this problem for other non-Minimal challenges with portrait orientation to the best of my knowledge.
any thoughts?

Landscape is best for DPC anyway. Just shoot landscape. ;-)

I use IrfanView for Minimal ... try saving the file first as a TIFF file before saving the final version as JPEG. This should strip out the EXIF, and hopefully whatever bit of metadata is telling your iPad that the image is rotated. |
