The Trustees would like to make an announcement about the UBUNTU Scholarship.
We currently are looking to donate 1 membership to the NEXT OPEN CHALLENGE with highest Non Member's score. If the highest Non Member does not wish for the membership or wishes to pass it along to another non member then that will be wonderful too.
We shall also be giving away a membership to any person who brings in the most new people to DPC in the next 3 months and they will receive a membership and have a choice of who they would like to donate another membership to.
We would like our newest non members to enter a minimum of 5 challenges before they are recognized, so that they are sure they enjoy the site and will get the most out of the membership.
Periodically, with a new membership there will be extras that the member will get. One on one tutoring, advice and individual critiques, Photoshop learning and mentoring from some of the finest photographers that are on DPC.
We would like to make this fun as well, so once in a while when a challenge is announced and we set a score i.e. the person that has 5.4012 they will get a membership as well, regardless as to whether they are members or not.
Any new tutorials that are written and accepted in the next 3 months, will also get a shiny membership.
We would love for any member to get in contact with us, outlining why they would wish another photographer to get a membership. Whether they are new people or old members, any achievements would be outlined etc etc
Any photographer here that has some fun and exciting idea's about giveaways we would love to hear from you too!

I think I might be miss-understanding something here.
Your first award is going to the highest non member score in the inevitable "Best of 2012" challenge? Isn't that going to be difficult as the "Best of.." challenges are members only?

Knickers, you are totally right!!!, so much for all the research we did, we missed the most obvious thing! we failed at the first hurdle lol
So this is the new membership! The VERY next Open Challenge will have a membership given away to the highest non member!
