There are options in the resize dialog in IrfanView, but not quite the same (at least in my older version) as in Photoshop. However, my interpretation is that you can use any of the algorithms, as long as you resize in a single step. I try to use IrfanView for my Minimal entries, and I've always used the indicated algorithm; I haven't even tried the others ...

Makes sense. I suppose at this point there has to be an allowance for the resizing algorithms.
In contrast to Photoshop, Lightroom is able to export a resized image without giving you the choice of algorithm used, and it does not have a simple, one-button sharpen feature. So sharpening with Lightroom is illegal, but resizing would be the most legal, though resizing seems to have some leeway (provided it is done once). |

I seem to have hit a photographic slump. After having at least one image in voting all year I have not entered a shot for two weeks. Been busy and a little down. However I went out last night and shot something for this. Nothing special but just something to get back in the game. |
