Frick, it takes a long time to get through the voting process. Part of it is the slow load time - sometimes it can take a minute or longer for one of these wee <150KB images to load. But mainly it just takes me time to make a reasonable assessment each of 200+ photos. And let's face it, as in everything else in life, you get to see a lot of oysters and not too many pearls. I have been slugging away diligently at the Botany entries for what seems to be a couple of hours, I just checked my progress, and I can't believe I'm only halfway through! I love the site, and all I get out of it, but boy this part of it takes its toll.

Okay, end of rant. Feels a little better. Back at it now ...

It does get overwhelming. When I first joined the site I would get caught up in the voting and find myself in front of the computer for several hours for one challenge. Now I stretch it out more over the week, usually doing only 10-15 photos at a time a couple times a day. And if I don't vote on them all, no big deal. I don't want to burn out completely on the site since I do have a lot of fun. :)
