If it weren't for all the low votes, I'd be doing really well. ;)

i think the voting is arbitory and is always subjective, some prefer safe some prefer the outlandish, some the precise and some the more fuzzy... but often doesnt make sense, it is what it is. Ribbon seeking is some peoples recognition and others a way of life lol... but if your happy with your photo that is the most important thing, if you feel you tried and gave it all then its worth any vote, i have noticed a trend to voting lower just because others might see your vote as too high and give a photo more merit than you think others might scoff at why...

i maybe wrong and quite often am lol, but this seems to be a sense of things when i see a lot of votes go the way they do... i often think how is it that photo won, and other times im agreeable as to the ribbon winners, i stayed away from entering challenges to begin with and just see what was being produced and what won and just appreciating a lot of it... its nice to compete and be recognised by your peers and have your photos appreciated and i can understand why people can feel why so often it may seem to be a bias is in play, because of all the reasons competitions can reduce those works of art(yes your photos can be) to merely asthetically pleasing to a mainstream view and thus departing from what is considered a great photo or piece of art...

i say vote with your feelings and not the technical book... if you feel youve seen something a hundred times and its technically great and meets the challenge it doesnt mean it deserves a higher vote, unless you really like it... just my opinion and i know thats all it is but im putting it out there... and im sure im not alone...hahaha :O)

have fun all :O)

The number of votes on my Triangle and High Contrast entries is within one - 78 and 79 with HC having 79. Is anyone else seeing a low number of votes on Triangle?

i've had 5 votes in triangle in the last 24 hours but 0 votes in the 24 hours before that. i'm sure it's due to the holiday so votes will probably pick up over the weekend.

too much strategic voting, that was an avg of 3.69 per vote, when early on I was avg about 6.75, go figure, LOL!

Had been steady the whole week in the range of 5.62-5.68 - dropping slightly below that now with the last few votes. Never fails that the 'Drive-by Fiver's' come about in the last few hours. I just don't get why the mad dash rush to get the votes in to count when you have the whole week to do so???? Eh, ::shrugs shoulders::.
