So i was looking at a Battery Grip option for my 5dmkiii. The Canon Original is pretty beautiful and has a sturdy feel to it, but its also 300 bucks. The B&H rep said the Vello version was pretty decent for the camera and only a 100$. I was skeptical because i m a big believer in original parts, but when he brought it out and i tried them both side by side on a body.. well.. i gotta say, the Vello made more sense. Its got a pretty sturdy feel to it and the rep did mention for Vello products i can swap it if it breaks in the first year. I have accidental on all my equipment in case of worse case scenario, but just getting to handle both of them and using both of them on a body, the Vello seems the better choice for the money, and sturdy enough that i m not worried about said worst case scenario. Now, not to say that Canon didn't feel slightly better, it does, but not 200$ better. Will keep posted if it turns out to be a surprising mess. Wanted to review it though

Good day at B&H today
