| I need to replace a broken modelling light on an Elinchrom d-lite 4. It uses a 100watt bulb. Couldn't I just replace it wth a fluorescent or LED bulb?? |

if you can replace the bulb with generic make sure to match the color temperature.

So If I can get an LED bulb that only draws 30watts, but delivers lumens equivalent to 100 or 200watts I should be cool. I just want to be able to use it on a vagabond 2. I don't want to go back to 100 watt incandescent

| I'd only consider color temperature important if you use them with the model lights on as continuous lights or you notice a shift in your color balance. My strobes switched off the model lights each time they discharged, which happens pretty much instantly with incandescent, but florescent lights take longer to stop emitting light. I don't know if that will have a significant effect or not. |
