That's awesome :-) I have a milkweed plant in my yard and managed to launch 8 Monarchs this summer, draping a frame and netting over the plant when the caterpillars got big to protect them from predators, and leaving it there till they emerged from their cocoons. I watched a couple transform into pupae and then later emerge as butterflies (hours of watching for a fast few minutes of sheer wonder). Mine were too early to be the migratory brood but I'm hoping their kids are vacationing down in Mexico right about now.
