anyone used this? How is it? I see folks are given good rating but when I compare with price from a well known brand it is way cheaper!

The IR filter you are refering to will give a slightly red cast to the lighter areas of the pix. A higher number like 850 or 900NM will have less red to almost no red tint.

check out this site, it will show what the same pix with diferent IR filters look like.
