I saw who wrote the article and I honestly can't read it.
Coulter is the worst of the political mouth pieces on the right, if you even want to call her that. She literally brings nothing to the table.

yet another reason why i happily don't involve myself in politics, not the biggest reason but a good one nonetheless

Two things.
Ann Coulter hasn't been relevant for some time. That hasn't suddenly changed. She's pretty much a political woman version of Howard Stern. Seriously. She sells shock.
Second- It was impossible for me to determine if she was taking liberties with her quotes from Chris Matthews because the only thing that is even remotely close to what she said was simply contained within the multiple instances of it being plastered around the internet in her hyping her new book. I DID, however, find the tweets to Dash that she references, and unsurprisingly, they're from individuals... NOT the campaign. How anybody really thought the Obama campaign called her any of these epithets is beyond me...

In other words, she's not relevant because she decries sensationalist responses by writing a sensationalist response and plastering it all over the internet with vastly inflated quotes taken out of context (if they are even attributed correctly). If you want entertainment, sure, listen to her, she's really good at making money by making people angry at windmills.

Agree the source of the article is as far right and out of touch as you can get (well perhaps except for Michele Bachmann).

Watch this and see ... Ann Coulter is in the middle, but I recommend the whole segment.

Oh you are so wrong. Ms. Coulter is a powerhouse, a harbinger of the new political rhetoric. She is a leader of the school of info-tainment that dominates political discussion today. These days you can report on something as if it is true, then when you are caught in a flat out lie, making up sources and misquoting people, you just say you are a humorist, and are shocked when people are offended by your misleading them. Then you go on news shows and get to act like you are a political thinker, shocked when people don't take her seriously as a journalist. She reminds me of Typhoid Mary who kept going back to cooking no matter how many people she made sick.

Ann Coulter should not be ignored because she is conservative. Someone like William Kristol is always worth hearing though he is really far more conservative than Coulter. She should be ignored because she is an insult comic who isn't funny, a reporter who lies, An editorialist who can't string together a rational argument or bolster her opinions with fact, an anti feminist who only gets air time because of her short skirts and blond hair, a woman who has body issues so severe she used to date the publisher of Penthouse magazine, a single woman who has said she feels single women are too stupid to vote, yet she keeps on selling books and getting press.

I love her thinking on the gender wage gap; ""And I'll take 69 cents on the dollar, or whatever the current feminist myth is about how much we make, just to never have to pay for dinner. That seems like a fair deal to me."

God help us when idiots lie her are shaping the opinion of the public.

Sure. I more meant that if anybody ever cites something she says it just removes the person from actual discourse. More specifically, she used to have a bit of a place carved out at the big people's table when it came to political bickering, but now she's way more at the little kid's table with Palin and other fringe folks.
Sales on her newest book are a third of what they were in '02/03 Coulter sales slipping

So, even among the wackjobs she's less notable. And I totally agree about being ignored for being an insult comic... that's why I compared her to Howard Stern.

Does that mean that people don't listen to both? No. But when somebody begins a discussion of the greater world of radio or comedy and an individual says their favorite comic or radio personality is Howard Stern... well, you know, they get sent to the little kid's table and patted on the back.

Does this mean... some people DO take her seriously?

Mind. Blown.
