So, I just got some really good shots of a pretty big art warehouse fire here in Miami.

Looking at whats up for news photos right now, it would seem I have much better shots.

My question is, can I sell these, and if the answer is yes, what is the best way to go about that?

Clearly, I don't want to run a newspaper photographer out of a job by giving them away free, so that's not what I'm going for.

I'll post them here in a while after I get done working on other important stuff.

I know nothing about it, but my guess would be that you have a VERY short window of opportunity.

You certainly have the right to sell them, that won't be an issue. As Art says, however, your window of opportunity is very narrow. Back in the day I used to contact the AP bureau in San Diego if I had anything topical to sell, and if they were interested they bought it from me. I'm not sure how that works these days, with this new-fangled internet and all... :-)

Well, we'll see if anyone bites. :)

I signed up for an account, and posted the story/pics.
