If you were a student, and took the approach you do here, I'd hope that the instructor would fail you about 85% of the time - simply for failure to follow instructions.

You may assure me that art is not a banana, but I ask you, what can't a banana be art? Why must I be unable to recognize a banana in a banana contest in order for it to fit your definition of art?

*shrug* I personally find art to be many things, but the most important thing it is, to me, is a process of exploration and discovery, which means never restricting it to a particular anything, for me art is the well crafted stock shot as much as the blurry beauty that I occasionally see or create - art is as much a process as a something in my mind.....

With that being said? I have to again emphasize that this isn't an art contest - it's a themed photo contest, following the theme is part and parcel IMO, if it says "Have a banana in your shot" I expect a banana, and I expect to be able to recognize it as such, at least it should give me the feeling of banananess.

I understand playing with the rules, I understand questioning the rules - but playing with, and questioning are not quite the same as disregarding.

Ok, but this isn't the banana challenge. This is metal on metal... and it doesn't have any explicit description of what must be included. Seems to be it's pretty open ended.

I think Wendy was a bit harsh at 14th but i can't see 6.3 as higher than below the fold, there is some nice work in this one.

Come the Venserdome, we have to average out past photographer performance in the martix od=f scoring and add in a divisor of camera cost. $9.99 for the WIN!
