I don't know Art Wolfe but I'll take it as a compliment! Thank you!

Personally, I think it is a bit tacky that you explicitly call out the "base price" that photographer's pay to have their prints made on DPCPrints. When I walk in to an event that says "All proceeds will be donated to charity", I don't see little tags underneath each item explaining that it only cost $5.76 to produce, but is being sold for $45.00. Knowing that the profit -- whatever it is -- will go to charity is enough IMHO. If it was your own site, I wouldn't care as much, but people browsing DPCPrints can also see prints by other photographers that use the same pricing structure. Yes, I'm sure somebody could find that info if they tried hard enough, but to me, that is much different than explicitly listing the "actual profit" under each photo. Just my 2¢

I ran the wording by Drew and Langdon first and they didn't have any problems with it, nor has anyone contacted me to suggest they have any problems with it.

I'll take your points under consideration.

I was remiss in not pointing out that I think that your photos are terrific, and that I would relish the opportunity to see such beautiful creatures in the natural habitat! You are very lucky to have been able to experience it (more than once, it sounds like!) I also think it is great that you, Drew and Langdon are supporting the DSWF Charity. Good luck!

Thank you.

I did think long and hard about whether or not to include price information in the descriptions. I decided that many of the people I'm sending the link to would really want to know before buying how much of their money was going to the charity.

I could change it to a % instead but I'm not sure that would make much difference.

Base prices are accessible on the site anyway though, yes, I appreciate that many won't bother to try and find them. I don't think any vendors are actively trying to hide the base prices anyway are they? Buyers know that they are mostly paying for the artistic effort not the costs of printing.

I am thinking on it though.

Have just added a whole lot of new prints to the DSWF charity sale and the current total is 34 prints to choose from.

There are just a few more elephant ones to be added over coming days and then a series of images of Masaai men, women and children before the series is complete.
