Can it be something we've already entered here? ;-)
ETA: Given the nature of the organization, I think a typographical anagram might be appropriate ... ;-)

I've never heard of those typographical anagrams. Are they large or small, and do they eat a lot. Do they need/demand a lot of attention daily, and do they scratch the furniture up when you leave them alone?
This sounds like a very worthwhile cause to me. We love our critter family here, with two decorator dogs, four parrots, and a stray camo cat, most of them rescue or freebie pets.

Okay...I read the rules but what are the size parameter limitation for submission?
I get that the format will be .jpg, but what about height, width or kb size?
Love this idea!!! ;-)

the rules say no larger than 6 mb. I think. also it kept referring to "your pet." next year I hope they include goats specifically. |

Really? Okay. I only saw the line indicating the image should be large enough to see the pet clearly. Thanks.
Well, goats aren't excluded...so I say go for the glory of goats galore...;-) |

yes, judges who recognize photos will recuse/rescue themselves from judging those photos...
I have to tell you goats are a longshot, even in these backwoods. Our rescue deals with cats and dogs. |

So if by some freak chance an out of town DPCer wins the big prizes, would you be willing to do the shipping of said prizes?
I submitted one entry and added a donation to boot. |

If I submit a photo for the contest will I still own the rights to it, for instance can I use it elsewhere like submit it as a stock image to be sold on shutterstock? Not that I won't enter I just want to know if it is okay if I also submit it as a stock image or if I need to just do an out take for that. |

BARKS only wants rights to display the image. You can sell it elsewhere. |

about 12 days left... low number of entrants so far, which is not good for the pets but is good for your chances of winning! |

Personally believe pet rescue is one of the most worthy organizations to support. Recently adopted my 4th rescue (having lost my 3rd in January to a brain tumor). Drove 600+ miles each way to get her. She was found imaciated in a discount store parking lot, rumaging through garbage. She was soo skinny they didn't know she was pregnant. Had heartworms, round worms and tape worms. After delivery (2 of 6 survived), she lost most of her hair. Have had her now about 4 months. A joy to have. Think she is about 5 or 6. Is healthy and has put on weight. A great dog. |

We found an issue we agree on. Kudos to you for adopting rescues. |

I've been rescuing stray cats since moving to a rural location six years ago where far too many folks treat pets like trash. I will definitely participate in the contest and help support this worthy cause!! |

Wow, the DPC community strikes again. To those generous members who have contributed, I thank you. You know who you are. You're making a great success out of this contest.
... but it's not over yet ... we've extended the deadline to the end of September. |
