Can a neon overlay such as that in Photoshop or gimp be used in advanced editing or would that be considered a new feature in the photo? |

I think I know what you're referring to but not sure of it. If you are talking about one of the "edge enhancement" filters, it's almost certainly not legal, since it will create a feature. Keep in mind that each individual case is different. In Advanced, a tool is neither legal nor illegal, only a particular application of a tool to a specific image (in other words, the end result vs. the original).

That is correct I was referring to edge enhancement....do we ever do an "anything goes" challenge? I would like to do that. I have a shot I did this week and absolutely love it with the neon edge. It would male a great album cover. |

Absolutely, we have expert editing challenges sometimes... Of course, you can't win those, they belong to Gyaban. ;)
