I'm not using get satisfaction, who knows if they even get read over their anymore.

here are some suggestions to making this place a little bit better and more user friendly.

Comment voting system - you rate the comment you receive based on how well though out you think it is. it could stimulate voters to give good critiques and since the people are voting points, comments such as "good job" or "great!" wont carry any weight. maybe give a ribbon to the best commenters over a given month.

anonymous commenting option - the ability to leave your comment and remain anonymous, even after voting. if people are afraid of backlash over leaving a critical comment they may be more inclined to do so knowing the viewer wont be able to find out who they are.

newly uploaded photo section - we need a better way to newly uploaded photos. there are lots of good images buried in people portfolios that we never see.

random image viewer or random daily image - grabs a random image and shows it on the main page with its score

ability to follow certain people

better voting viewer - we need one that maximizes the real estate of the web browser, forcing it inside the window with scroll bars is a bad option.

comment opt out - upon uploading you should be able to opt out of receiving any comments.

might not be the best way to showcase work. there'll be a lot of junk images being displayed, and some people with low scores who might be sensitive about flaunting around their lack of success wouldn't appreciate the sentiment.

I like these ideas. I know I have mentioned the voting ranking idea before.

Seems like here (the forum) is a good place to see how popular your ideas are. Many of us have posted many ideas to improve the site, because we love it so â€Â¦ but once again, the pace of change is glacial â€Â¦ But the foundation of talent is here still, for the most part - and DPC hasn't been taken over by a corporation with overly commercial intentions - which is nice.

Should I mention the DPC App idea again?
Should I mention improving DPC prints again?
And â€Â¦ of course, I need to once again request the need for more storage space for paying members â€Â¦

btw you can leave anonymous messages....check yer profile prefs

i think he means anonymous messages that remain anonymous, even after the challenge results. right now you lose your anonymity once the challenge finishes.

yes remain anonymous, its been made clear that some people dont comment out fear of backlash, becuase its happened to them.

so why not allow them to remain anonymous, its not like the comment would hold any less water in fact it may make it more honest.

oh and we need a comment opt out too, if you dont want negative comments you dont get positives ones either.
