Is the warp tool legal in advanced? If something's a bit crooked mishaped, say a horizon that can't get straightened just by rotating due to lens aberration, could I use the transform warp tool to straighten it out? Im talking about a subtle usage. |

alright just saw this:
use software to correct perspective, lens defects, or minor misalignments.
so i guess it's fine. |

Yup. Plus, the easy way to do that is with filter>lens correction -- that has automatic adjustment that can be enabled if your exif shows cam/lens combos that are mapped, or you can do it manually in that filter. Does vignetting and chromatic aberration as well.

alright, what about this:
say the lens is perfect, and the scene is captured exactly how it looks to the eye. but say you're taking of picture of something like a tower, and the tower itself was built slightly crooked (by a degree or two). Would it be legal to select the tower, and then use the warp tool to nudge it straight? |

Yes you are still correcting perspective, not introducing an effect. Now if you took that same image and added a fish warp to it, it think that may fail validation. |
