Did my first pre-wedding/engagement shoot yesterday for close friends. Any thoughts, comments, suggestions?

I will be shooting their reception on Saturday, hoping I can do a decent job at that.

did a good job avoiding the overused traditional poses, however do you have any more intimate closeups?

#1, my favorite

#2, can you tone down the shadows a bit, especially on the mans face and steps.

#3 seems a bit over saturated, especially the girls pants.

otherwise, nice job.

Thanks Mike!

Fixed the third one.
I think i went overboard with this cross-process thingy everyone has been using influenced by instagram! At first I liked it too, but I am toning it down again.

ETA: I do have closeups, still have to go through a whole lot of pictures. And also few of my favorite kiss shots, but unfortunately they prefer to not share those!

I also like #1 best.

#3, did you selectively blur some areas in post? The foreground blur of the grass looks unnatural.

I think all the comments thus far are right on. In general, unless the location is spectacular, you want to get in closer. Also, try to avoid shooting in direct light because the contrast is just too great and you get inky shadows and blown out highlights - unless you have either a reflector or a flash for fill. Good luck with the wedding!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
Toned down the editing significantly, and added few more!

Nice job Vikas!

I have one suggestion: add a bit of vignetting, to bring the eyes right to them. Can do it with all, but a good example is #4. It doesn't have to be obvious that there's a vignette. If you have Nik Color Effex, you just use lighten center/darken edges and put the center point on them. Works better than most vignette tools.

ETA: 3, 4, 5 are my favorites.

Thanks Neil.

Tried adding vignetting. Fixed few other things - here are the updated pictures.
