Judy, I'm happy to see you in on this SC.
Those little Fuji P&S cams are big fun. They are excellent for close work, like flowers ect, and good for most other shooting as well. You will probably be pleased with the pix from it. I keep one with me all the time, the crash and splash XP 10.
Another thing they are very handy for is to copy print, like address or biz cards, or anything else that you want to keep, but don't want to have to keep up with "where did that little piece of paper go?" when you need it later.
If you focus first then breathe on the lens, you can get some pretty cool looking foggy shots with it. You have to focus first though, and hold the shutter button, which is a bit of a pain, because it has trouble focusing with the lens fogged.

Thanks for the encouragement. My sister is great with her Lumix so she can probably refresh my memory. Not always is she carrying her Nikeon, so she keeps her P&S with her at all times to catch stuff, since she posts a daily photo blog.
