When I started getting comments saying "This isn't blue" I thought to myself: "Umm, yes it is!". How wrong I was!
I was on holiday when I took and submitted this shot, and I did the editing on my mum's friend's laptop. On that laptop it was the most obvious colour blue I've ever seen!
This is how the photo looked on the laptop.
I am really surprised that even though my photo clearly didn't meet the challenge, it still got a 5.7 average! Thank you to all the kind voters and commenters out there.
How much better do you think my blue version would have done in the challenge?

I wish I could use that excuse for my "blue" entry into the Purple Challenge : ( |

They are both lovely and both "blue enough" for my scoring. I try to stretch my imagination of how all our different monitors show images when I vote. Mine is so bright and clear, then I get to work and my own image is all dark and blurry! Konador - it is a great photo, and it does "pop" more done the "right" way you wanted - but I am glad to see that you still got what I consider a good score. It doens't have a strong center of interest for me, and that could have kept it from the top socres, and some just don't vote high on flowers. Hope this helps as one opinion.
