I'm reading the FAQs, and it says no "professional camera equipment," without defining that.

Has anyone taken an SLR there or know anything more about what they do and don't allow? I'd just like to bring my D200 and a smallish lens.

They probably mean tripods and light stands. Unless you start acting all Austin Powers, they likely won't bother you. Lots of tourists have dSLRs these days.

I'm guessing the only clearcut restriction would be no tri-/mono-pods, and (especially if indoors) no flash ... other than that it's probably up to the mood of the particular security officer you encounter ... :-(

One possible workaround would be to take a kid along; can probably arrange things so that it will always "look like" you are taking family snapshots ... ;-)
