Anyone know any good coupon codes good for the upgrade?

I still have CS5 but was thinking of upgrading to CS6. After reading this thread and seeing that the crop tool has changed and is similar to LR, I opened up LR (which I never use) and tried the crop tool. I don't think I can use it, if that's what the crop tool in CS6 is like: I get vertigo very easily and was starting to get dizzy just after a few minutes, with the image moving around the way it does.

Is that what the crop in CS6 is like?

as to your question im not sure. In LR the crop tool does take getting used too, just picture yourself moving the image and not the boundary and it should help.

That's why I use PaintShop Pro. That, and I'm a cheapskate.

Better yet, CS6 offers non-destructive crop. I don't recall seeing this in CS5, though I could have missed it (for two years!)

Yes, you can select Hide in cs5. It's a non-desructive crop

There's a button to switch crop to "legacy" mode if you want to. So it's not a dealbreaker either way. Once I got used to it, the new version works much better for me.

I agree... in fact I was forced to get used to it since the "new" way is the only way Lr works. Once I got used to it, and it did take some time, I wondered how I ever muddled through with the old way!
