I work for BTBuddies, a UK Registered Charity. The purpose of BT Buddies is to provide as much information/support as possible in one place on high grade brain tumours for patients, families and caregivers in the UK (we also help people in other countries if we can).

One of my 'roles' is that of fundraiser and I wanted to try and raise funds via regular small donations either direct to the Charity or via my justgiving page where I will be donating 10 pence for each kilometre I walk/run in my training (currently recovering from a bad back so may need to walk more than run to start lol).

My question is can anybody here give me any advice on how to create some sort of viral fundraising campaign? We have around 2,000 Facebook fans and almost the same Twitter followers as well as 300 or so website members. (I was thinking along the lines of asking all our fans/followers/members to retweet/post a simple message). I guess the goal would be able to find 1500 monthly donations of around £2.50 (or 5p/k up to 50k/month).

Looking forward to any ideas either posted here or sent via pm.

Cheers,
Andrew F/O Rose.
