Congratulations Margaret. That's a huge achievement. Monday is 10 years since I registered here (ouch, is it really that long?) and I'm still trying for my first ribbon.

Thanks to those who didn't put double meaning in their wishes. Regardless of the reaction of some DPCers who did everything to put me down I am very proud to have achieved this. Thanks to Mark, Andi, Iain, Janine, Neil and Gina. If I incorrectly read the messages of the rest my apologies. Johanna - I have never set myself getting to Top 50 as a goal. It happened only 2 weeks ago when I realized I am so close to it. 12 months ago getting the first ribbon was my dream. I am truly passionate about photography and I do appreciate recognition whatever form it takes.

Why do you always assume the worst? You've mentioned something similar many times over. And here I thought I was cynical.

Will this post survive the test of time or end up obliterated like most of the other negative comments you made in this thread.

I too am one of those people who truly admire your work, but sometimes stand in complete awe at your reaction to those who may not agree with you.

Life is too short to spend time agonizing over trivia such as this.

Everyone appreciates recognition. Accepting it graciously when it comes to you is a tad different than soliciting acclamation from our peers, a process that some might find a bit offensive and give rise to comments such as those we have seen here.

I wish you well.

Wouldn't it be great if we could efface our negative actions as easily as we can delete our previous comments, unfortunately our past action are what make us what we are today, accepting and digesting is the way forward.

Whatever I said towards you in this thread Margaret, was only said because I would like for you to be satisfied and happy and I'm sure it's the same for everybody else, so go forth and shine.
