This dpc-er's last three challenge entries finished in the top 20! (94%, 100%, 99%). And in just one slim month he's managed to ribbon in every color!

Who have you had your eye on? Anyone else having a good run?

I certainly can't complain. :-)

Smokeditor has been on fire lately, and Jacko, Kiwiness and Heida rarely miss the top 10 anymore. Kirbic, tyt2000, hopper, and moodville are consistently near the top as well.

He has become the man to watch! Really coming into his own... Methinks he has discovered that elusive key to becoming one with your creativity and your inner child! I mean, look at his profile pic - doesn't he look so happy-go-lucky and peaceful; radiating good energy and all that.

[Excuse me while I discuss you at length, GraphicFunk!] lol

Dan's great, and he's so nice too! And he always leaves great comments.

Rest assured that I am deeply touched by your kind comments.

Yes, I am happy and contented. My run in photography has been a very pleasant trip. I am a man all in the black because of this wonderful medium. I paid my house off in a mere 5 years. However, this was 60 percent commercial shooting. Now, I am in a position to learn more..that is what life is all about. I was art director for seven years and my formula for evaluating the top pics for advertising is very simple, I still apply it to the images I see and the images I produce. I squint my eyes and let the light and shadow aspect of the photo speak to me, then I move on to the subject. Yes, the emotions are very important but I curtailed the emotions until the image passes the initial squint test. The inner sanctum in phrography is light and shadow.

Taste is very subjective and all photographers run through different phases of expressions. Undestand, I have done heavy image manipulation and now I am trying to unlearn the photo composite. It is not easy to unlearn. So my current images are not the most interesting with universal appeal, but I am moving in that direction. It is such a pleasure to learn. Like I said elsewhere, I am the eternal student who never seeks a degree...just give me my next lesson.
