I just made a (very basic) little home movie, using only my iPhone and CS6.

I didn't add music, and I realize it is VERY basic, but I still like the fact that I CAN do this simply in Photoshop.

The editor function really doesn't have many bells and whistles, but it is quite adequate for a simple little video. I liked that I didn't have to learn a lot of new tricks - it just felt and acted like Photoshop and mostly made sense to me. I'm sure I could get a lot more exotic with it before I hit the limit of its capabilities, but in this instance, I just wanted to quickly show off my hubby's new trick.

I like that you can add filters etc just as if it was a photograph. Ditto for text ON the video (I did mine as a separate screen). It only has a few transitions available, but I was glad I could lower the volume level for certain parts where we had a very noisy meat grinder running. Rearranging the order of clips etc was very intuitive (i.e. drag and drop). Adding transitions is simple, as is changing their properties.

It saves as a PDF, but has many different presets available for rendering. It was pretty slow in the export process for my short movie, however this would no doubt vary from computer to computer (although I like to think mine is pretty darn good ;-)

Here is my Sausage King Movie.

Fascinating! ;)
(you need to setup a channel to get comments, I think)

Fun! That is, both the video-producing and the sausage-making. I hope to play withe the video capability of CS6 mid-summer. I intend to pick up a waterproof camera for a trip in June, and I expect to have some footage from the trip :-)
