I can't get my 'Topaz' filters to show up in my brand new (and paid for) PS 'CS6'.
I have Windows 7 and the 'Topaz' filters are happily installed in CS5 which is still there.
I looked at the 'Topaz' website and found instructions how to move from CS4 to CS5, so I decided to apply those same steps to go from CS5 to 'CS6'.
I copied the 'topaz' files from CS5 into 'CS6', I restarted 'CS6' but they aren't showing up.
The 'topaz' goodies I copied were all just shortcuts, is that normal? That is how they are sitting in my CS5 folder where they successfully work, so I guess it must be normal?
Any suggestions from you smart people, please? |

I thought I might bump this up for my friend before heading off to work.
Sure hope one of you fine folks know the answer to this.

I did it by dragging the 'Topaz' filters onto the desktop then to the 'CS6' plug in file.
Not sure that was the right way but they all work fine.
Don't think they should be shortcuts. |

I agree, I thought they were the actual programs themselves when I've messed with plugins like that.
ETA: However, this has only been with CS4

It's all good now.
I had originally tried the copy and paste thing, as described somewhere on the 'Topaz' website. I found the fines just fine, copied them, all looked happy but nothing worked.
At that point, I tried DPC but no-one responded, so I emailed 'Topaz' and they answered with a stupidly simple solution, one I should have managed to come up with myself. It simply involves going to Preferences - Plug-ins - Enable etc.
My excuse is that I have never had to do that in previous versions of Photoshop, but hopefully I'll remember for CS7.
Anyway, it is all fixed now, thank you all very much. |

There's good news coming for owners of 'Topaz' plug-ins in the form of a new product to manage them. I'll let you know more when the time comes.

That would be great! All those different licences are a pain! |

True, though IIRC there exists a single Bundle serial (I will confirm that with them and if not definitely suggest it). But that's not the new thing coming...
