Am sure there are a few film peeps around still? I'm shortly going to get my hands on a Lumière Scoutbox & a funky R.F.Hunter Purma Special. My scanner is FUBAR right now so I was wondering if there is a decent UK place that can develop 120 & 127 film and return prints and a CD of images?

Thanks in advance :)

Quick bump and, does anybody know somewhere in the UK I can get 127 film from? Have tried a few places that claim to stock it but can't deliver.

This is an old link I googled on the Internet (2005?), but maybe still useful?

127 link in UK

Good luck :)

thanks, I've pinged a couple of mails off from the link and it looks like supply and demand has kicked in - prices for a single roll are around £8!

What are you using to shoot the 127 or are you respooling it to 120?

Here's a 2009 thread on Flickr Flickr 127 thread. Maybe someone on that thread is still active... There's also some links on that thread...

Very nice! Did it come with spools? If so, just respool 120 film. Takes 5 minutes.

Andi, Silverprint would be a good place to start. They list 127 film for sale on their website, but it says out of stock. Give them a buzz, you never know, the website may not be 100% up to date.

Concerning developing, www.the-darkroom.co.uk are good (very helpful when I was talking to them). They were recommended to me by a friend who shoots almost exclusively 120. According to their website they do develop 127 film, but I could find no reference to that on the pricing page.

Here's my Purma Special:

127 Film in the UK? Ag Photographic and Silverprint.

When I got my first 127 film of my modern era developed, I sent it off to R P Photographic Labs and they did the developing and a contact sheet. Mind you that was just to get the confidence in the camera , now I do my own developing.

If you want a film quicker, then I could send you a couple of rolls of Efke R100 B&W film to try out.

That's going to be a clever trick as 127 film is narrower than 120 film, so 120 needs to be cut down to fit 127 spools ;) If you decide to go this way I can give you 127 spools and backing paper.

Thanks for all the ideas/links people. It was AG Photographic that I'd first ordered the 127 from but they are currently unable to get any. Kevin, thanks for your (very) kind offer, I'll be in touch if I don't find any and may well be in touch for some Purma tips - quirky to say the least ;)

Nice. I have always liked the looks of that Puma. Never actually held one though. Pretty cheap and easy to develop yourself, as I'm sure you know...

Not used it yet, shutter speed is determined by the orientation of the camera! Have never developed film but if I get on with it I may have a dabble - another steep learning curve lol.

Kevin is correct. The spools I used were 620 not 127!
