After reading this article I guess now wouldn't be a good time to try and photograph the Charlotte skyline!

p.s. I'm not sure this belongs in the rant forum - I just thought it was interesting.

just now the news here in Houston talked about this man taking video in the Houston area as well as other cities. The police and te mayors office in houston have NOT raised the "terror alert level" but want citiziens to be more alert.

Guess I can go photo anything near downtown houston, the light rail, metro buses, the museum district and some more things.

Next i guess the zoo will be a target and I will be stuck showing you pictures of our cats because i wont be able to take my camera out doors for fear of getting the cops called on me.

Everyone comes to Altoona to take photos of the trains and the Horseshoe Curve. Last month the Curve celebrated its 150th anniversary and the number of photographers in town from all over that weekend was incredible and no one questioned any of them.

Now a month later I witnessed two guys being harassed by police while videoing a empty frieght train go by. I had already talked to the two guys as a I was crossing a bridge and found out they had came from Chicago for the weekend to see the trains and visit the Curve. They had saw an article in Railfan Magazine and wanted to see the Horseshoe Curve.

Things are getting out of hand now cause the police sat back during the anniversary celebration and didn't do a thing and the President was in town for the event. Now with the terror alert being in the news every day they are panicing.
