I stumbled across this timelapse done of Portland and surroundings. It has some nice camera movements that aren't typical for the genre. It has a wonderful shot of the moon rising over Mt. Hood. It also has a nice shot at about 2:00 of the Oneonta Gorge and what you have to do to get to this shot:

I recognize those guys from another website I frequent.

I originally saw this video of theirs (also very impressive):

Their equipment stash must be immense. The dollys and booms required to shoot those images are expensive, big, and heavy. I actually just finished making my own dolly, and it was expensive, heavy, and big! Heading out this weekend to use it for the first time... I'll have to post up the final edited video once I'm all done with it.

Sweet! Thanks Jason, obviously there are still plenty of wonderful sites I have yet to see just down the road from me in Portland...

If you find that first building with the light bulbs hanging at different levels, let me know. Looks pretty cool.

I'm pretty sure it's the Gerding Theater at the Armory.

Nice of you to put in the links Leo :)
I don't make it down to Portland often, but this will be something to checkout next time I visit.
