I note that there is a distinction between the earlier challenge and this one. The description for Twisted 2 was to capture an image that included curved or twisted lines; here we are to include only twisted or curved lines - definitely more of a challenge, and should produce some interesting entries. |

is that how we (the DPC submitters/voters) are reading it?? i thought i had the perfect shot, but its got some roughly non-twisty-curvy aspects. |

Not entering this one. Nothing in nature is twisted or straight enough for the voters on this one. But, that's just me. Good luck and best wishes to all. I won't be voting, either. |

Yeah... but there is a trick on latest one...
"Capture an image that includes only curves, twists or other non-straight lines."
I don't know. I entered, I think 5th entry. tried not to include s straight line there (I am sure my entry is not the only one with that description)
I can see low votes due to a line here and there (hardly seen) in the photo :o\ |

My guess is that most voters won't even be aware of the "only" constraint. Myself, normally a fairly stringent challenge topic nazi, will not put much, if any importance on an image having a straight line or two buried in it. ...on the other hand, I might just DNMC/1 vote any image with a straight border. ;-) |

Between then and now, the voters in Open challenges are increasingly looking for reasons to knock down entries. No thanks to that. All of those nature images have some straight lines. I'm pretty sure there would be a lot of DNMC votes. I'm tired of the intense scrutiny and the urgency by voters to knock down images in an effort to elevate their own. Frankly, I just need a break from DPC for a while.
