So a snapshot of a trashcan deserves high marks? (there isn't one by the way)...

Dallas will appreciate the images, but there is still a site to run and votes to be tabulated and people should still vote accordingly. With this thread I just meant we should not whine about the scores we're getting. We DID submit the photos for Dallas to enjoy... that is one aspect. But it should be separate from the site community judging the entries.

IMO.

Mine's so puffed you could pop it with a pencil (or some other object that is slightly sharp but not as sharp as a pin in order to emphasize how puffed the score is).

I was expecting a sub 5.

I'll stop complaining now. :)

I am definitely padding scores and trying to look from a young boy's perspective, not from a nit-picking technopurist perspective. Sue me. Ban me. Say bad things about me. I'm good with all of that. :)

Now as to voting, I'm going to shoot for commenting on 100% of the images in this challenge. Always been amazed Denielle was able to do that. Just hope no one takes offense when I comment like I'm looking at the images through a child's eyes.

My average stayed about the same as it always is for a challenge. I did find myself marking up ones by point for ones that I felt Dallas would enjoy but were not technically as good as I would have liked. At the same time I felt myself marking things down a point for things that may have been technically good but were really not things that a little boy would enjoy. In the end it evened itself out to my normal voting average.

I think as long as people are consistent with their voting no matter how it is then things are fair.

I havent voted yet, but i plan to be generous. The challenge was to make a 5 year old boy smile. I'm tougher to please than a 5 year old, and many of the images made me smile. If you met the challenge well, you'll score well. Meeting the challenge is the main criteria for me on this one. Happy votes for happy pictures. Happy pictures well done will score even higher. :)

Wendy, you have one less to vote on - I have just been DQ'd for the first time :( Thinking about it, it is probably quite impressive that my only DQ over 183 challenges is for one that is expert editing! Shame, as I had to do a bit of juggling to sort out time to shoot - ah well. I am looking forward to voting on the challenge over the next couple of evenings.

pm me, i'd be curious as to why you got dq'd, as i got dq'd from expert before too.

I had my first DQ recently as well, I was going for a perfect record, but I am not the rule breaking type so I felt sick for a little bit.

Are the puffy voters USA only their votes seem to have got lost over the Atlantic, thought my subject and edit for this would be what a 5 yr old wanted guess the adults voting don't see that but I don't care as long as Dallas likes it :) I've been there in the hospital on morphine in the burns ward for 10 days I know what he's going through poor little guy
