Okay.......so I'm zooming down the road on a mission for a Free Study shot, and I catch this out of the corner of my eye......

Now, what I wanna know is a couple of things....

So what, did the guy just wake up one morning and say, "What this place really needs is a riverboat in the back yard!"

Or.....did he happen to be on vacation, and just happened to get a deal on it?

It's prolly no less than 50 miles or so to the nearest navigable water where this thing could have gotten to under its own power......I'm thinking you don't just back up the ol' F350 and your bass boat trailer to get it home.

WTF???

Weird post script note. From the looks of it, it's been there for a while. I must have driven by the damn thing no less than a couple dozen times and never saw it before.

It got washed in by a tsunami. It was too hard to try to remove it, so they kept it as a backyard ornament. ;D

Seriously, I know people that have gotten things like this to use as entertainment spaces. Kids playhouses, backyard bar, etc. Though most of those are close to the shore area I did have one friend in the Poconos with something similar. That particular person used it as a greenhouse.

Maybe it's a leftover from a theme park. Is there a park nearby, operational or defunct? I'm sure that they must do something with their retired ones.
