I wouldn't say that. There have been some good conversations about challenge results, ribbon winners, etc...previously. This thread had some worthy discussion on the first page of posts, then it fell into the always testy "I vote this way" banter.

I'd like to see more discussions on results, what worked, what didn't, etc... Unfortunately, once the results are in we (DPC) start positioning for the next challenge (description deciphering, opinions on what will meet / not meet the challenge, blah-blah-blah).


perhaps i should have phrased it another way. maybe the thread should have been subjected to "I really like this picture and wanted to share why..." then others could chime in. by starting a thread trying to understand why people didn't vote it high is the wrong approach, asking people to defend their scores puts them on the defensive. encouraging others to take a second look is a much more worthwhile way to go about it.

just offering my thoughts on the context of the thread.

That's a good observation - the "I really liked this, and I think this is why" versus "why didn't you guys like this?"
