I would just like to say there was some true heroics involved with the sinking of that ship. For instance, the engine crew, electritions, engineers that kept the power on long enough to lower life boats. Then you have the super rich that could have stepped onto a life boat easily, John Jacob Astor, but didn't because he wanted women and children off. I can not imagine the sacrifice necessary to know you have no way out. My hat is off to every survivor and to all the dead.

My cousin, a big shipwreck person, kept in close contact for years with Millvina Dean. She was the last survivor to pass on.
