Anyone using them? It would reduce the need for multiple filters but what about the quality?

Fader filters?...meaning Graduated Neutral Density ones?

oh..nvm...i tried the Singh Ray Vario N Duo and i was not happy with it...too much vignetting and i had the thin mount ring....

Yes but a bit cheaper than that one.

they have some issues with banding I believe, but if you dd want one why not just buy two decent polarisers, e.g. an 82mm one and a 77mm one, an adapter ring, and then you also get two decent polarisers. I believe a reversal ring will also give you a blue-yellow polariser.

I got this Genus one for Christmas and I am happy with it so far. I haven't used it a lot, but figure I will get more usage as the weather gets warmer. I read a few reviews before buying, the conclusion was basically that it is almost as good as the Singh Ray, but at half the cost.

There is a pretty good review here.

Here are a couple of my own examples.

I can't imagine any 82mm filter for less than $60 being very good.
