Nicely done - especially the last couple of minutes with the before and afters.

Refreshing to see this out there.

This should be shown in schools for all those kids who think models look amazing in real life.

You would not recognize most models without a faceful of makeup, garments fitted to them (not the other way round) flattering lighting/angles and just maybe a little bit of PS applied to their, ahem, trouble areas. I've been a model myself, and with makeup and the right pieces of clothing, can still turn from yer average, athletic 5'10 female into a woman with a killer body, massive eyes, skyscraper cheekbones and full lush lips. I don't actually possess the amazing cheekbones or the lips, but know how to make it look like I do. It's all about shadows and highlights - sound familiar? - only with makeup as you don't know what lighting conditions you may encounter.

I've often seen models in airports, and the only thing that gives them away as such most of the time is their almost conspicuous lack of makeup, loose clothing, flats, height, carriage...and a ginormous carry-on bag :-)

yeah models are normal people that wear alot of makeup and fancy clothes. Most of them are skin and bones though

*sigh*....Maybe you should watch the video, and read the thread first. If you were paying attention, you might think twice before posting such a thoughtless comment. And how many actual working models have you actually talked to? In person?

Most models make a point of NOT wearing tons of makeup when they are not on a job. Ditto the fancy clothes, though to be fair if some designer gave me some amazing garments after a runway show, yeah hell I'd wear them. And if they have a killer sense of style and some money, why shouldn't they wear *fancy* clothes?! What's so wrong about that?

And as for the skin and bones thing...sadly, that is the industry making those demands, and the girls have to conform to it in order to get work. Nonetheless I got work at 5'10 and 135lbs, which is hardly skin and bones.

This needs to be seen by every young person - I will be showing and sharing this link elsewhere.

no surprises. however the first model looked absolutely delightful BEFORE she was "done up." And our own snaffles has yet to be shown properly, sans macquillage.

What, you want to see me without my obligatory 2 inches of pancake makeup?! *thunk as faints to floor*

Well gimme a sec here...Ryan has entered shots of me...dunno why... and and my Robert Plant was sans maquillage, though with a wig and props :-)

Great video.. I do photo shoots all the time and have shot models of all sizes, trust me there are plenty awesome looking girls out there that are not just skin and bones.. and like I have said many times, being beautiful doesn't mean you will automatically be photogenic.. confidence plays a huge part, being good with expression also plays a huge part, posing well and taking direction well also play a big part. I actually prefer shooting women who have a shape to them, especially for lingerie.. skin and bonez and straight up and down body doesn't cut it for me, not a fan. I'd sooner shoot a good plus size model instead of a skin and bones model any day.. and remember a woman can have a slim figure that has shape, without being skin and bones.
