Venus Visible in Daytime Sky Today

The planet Venus has been dominating the nighttime sky recently, but did you know it's possible to see the bright world in the daytime? Today (March 26), Venus can be spotted in the afternoon if you know where and when to look.

In fact, a daytime apparition of Venus in the sky was famously spotted by none other than President Abraham Lincoln in 1865.

Let's try to get some photo's.
If clear you should be able to spot it around 4pm local time.

"...if clear" being the operative phrase...

All the guys looking up to Venus now with their binoculars, hope to see naked woman running around there... I think women did the same thing when Mars was close last year, to see naked guys running around :P

DONKEY: Okay, okay, I see it now, yeah, the big shiny one right there, right? That one there?

SHREK: That's the moon.

Speaking of the (crescent) Moon, it should still be almost lined up with both Venus and Jupiter tonight.

Something like this? This was taken in Sept. 2005.

Not quite -- last night they were in an almost vertical line, one above the other, with the Moon in the middle; tonight I think the Moon will have moved to the left ...

I saw it!! It took forever to find the crescent moon -- it's so faint.
