Ja-9, sign it the way you want to be known. You're right, this can determine how you do this from now on (but of course you can change).

You can sign it as simply as J-9, or as Janine, or as J. Edmondson, or as some do, Big "J", Big "E" and wiggly scrawl.
It's your personality and your signature. It's very personal. Be artistic. Good luck.

Dont' use a sharpie. They make special archival pens for this type of stuff.
In front of me, I have a Pigma Micron 08 archival pen. I used an array of these so people could sign my sister's engagement photo.

Congrats to you!

As to the "how".... consider the possibility of turning this into a logo for everything from letterhead to stamps.
Personally I like the idea of some ornate initials.

I don't have any thoughts on the signing, but HUGE congrats!!! That's awesome! :)
