Has anyone used these on an umbrella setup? If so, what umbrella/mount did you use?

I just got these triggers a week ago, along with an extra receiver. They are very light plastic and feel extremely cheap, but they work flawlessly. I've shot about 250 photos so far and they have yet to miss a trigger. Many of the shots were for a setup that had the receiver two rooms away through multiple walls. The top shoe bracket is metal but the bottom foot is plastic. In total they raise up your strobe by about 1.5 inches, which isn't too bad, but does point your strobe closer to the top of the umbrella. If it bugs you they also have a PC socket on the side so you don't need to use the shoe mount. I wouldn't want them for every day professional use, but for the price they are perfect for hobbyist like myself.

I've used them with this umbrella kit. This kit feels real cheap too, but once again you can't beat it for the price, and more then sufficient for hobbyist use. You can't tell it by the picture, but the strobe brackets do have a slight angle to them to help point the strobe toward the center of the umbrella. The carrying bag is nice, and has extra room to throw in some strobes or other gear.
